Alexey Zacharov (a.k.a. Seccovan) is a Moscow-based animation wiz whose newest short film, The Old New World, will leave you in awe. Using old photos of Manhattan from 1931, Zacharov brought them to life with a camera-projection animation technique, and a little help from his trusty steampunk time machine. Check out the incredible results above, and be sure to see some of his stunning still images from the project on his Behance page.
