Bill Maher, Shane Smith and Eddy Moretti serve as executive producers.” Founded in Montreal in 1994 as a free monthly culture magazine called Voice of Montreal, VICE has been based out of New York for the past ten years. Earlier today The Montreal Gazette profiled VICE co-founder Suroosh Alvi, who revealed his excitement for the series: “For our brand, it’s a very important moment. It’s the culmination of years of work and building and learning. And HBO is just a great home for us.
