This past May, Domino Records released a 5-track EP of Franz Ferdinand covers featuring Peaches’ rendition of “Turn It On”, LCD Soundsystem’s take on “Live Alone”, The Magnetic Fields’ singer Stephen Merritt and his spin on “Dream Again”, a duo between Debbie Harry and Franz Ferdinand on “Live Alone”, and this gem which I just discovered the video for this morning: ESG’s cover of “What She Came For”. It’s an irresistibly funky take on an irresistibly chunky track, and you can check out the video below. To hear all the covers simply CLICK HERE, and to pick up your own copy of the EP head over to Domino Records.
