I just learned from GOOD that the first reporter has been allowed inside Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic spaceship, the ship that will take 6 passengers at a time up into orbit for a 5-minute gravity-free view looking down at earth from above. For the bargain basement price of $200,000, the SpaceShipTwo™ will get you 70 miles above our blue planet starting in 2013. BBC journalist Richard Scott is the lucky reporter who got permission to step inside the ship before any other member of the press. When I went over to the BBC’s site I noticed they also have a story on the New Mexico-based Spaceport America™ for Virgin Atlantic which was designed by legendary architect Norman Foster, so I’ve included that video below as well, as well as a promotional video from Mr. Branson himself.
To book a reservation on SpaceShipTwo™ just head over to Virgin Galactic.
