It’s easy to feel overcome with by the non-stop tsunami of depressing news stories these days, but this morning my faith in humanity was restored when my friend Sheryl sent me some information on an organization she, her husband and son, and co-workers at One Workplace volunteer with near San Francisco. It’s called Waves Of Impact and it’s designed to harness the power of waves, surfing, and the ocean to help heal those under enormous emotional, physical, psychological, or financial stress. At a typical Waves Of Impact gathering you will find volunteers helping any number of folks who have come for a moment of pure joy in the water — from veterans, to kids with physical disabilities, and everyone in between. To learn more about this amazing group, including their calendar of events across America, visit WavesOfImpact.com.
