The 1960s were the heyday for Canada’s National Film Board, and decades later their impressive body of work continues to inspire us. One such NFB masterwork is the 1960 film, Universe, which gives us a night-in-the-life look at one astronomer who worked at the David Dunlap Observatory in Richmond Hill, Ontario, a facility owned and operated by the University of Toronto. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary Short Subject in 1961.
