For years, one young woman has had a very big dream — to someday take the court of a university-level basketball game.  That dream came true for Lauren Hill this past weekend, but it’s not without a tragic backstory.  Lauren is suffering from an inoperable brain tumour which doctors believe will take her life in weeks or months.  Many people with her diagnosis would curl up and let cancer have its way with them — but not Lauren.  Instead, Lauren’s dream and determination has become a global inspiration.  Steve Hartman of CBS News brought the story to CBS This Morning on Monday, and he brought everyone in front of the camera and behind it to the brink of tears.  You can watch the emotional report above.  In light of Lauren’s story, NBC recently put together an interesting piece which explains exactly why brain cancer is so deadly.  You can read it in full at NBCnews.com.
