I’m a huge believer in the Law of Attraction, so whenever something happens to me that seems too perfect to be mere coincidence, I attribute it to a a higher level force busy at work. CBS Sunday Morning recently took a more objective look at the nature of coincidences, arguing that the Universe is constantly playing with unfathomably huge numbers, and it only makes sense that coincidences would happen to us all the time. From the opposite side of the argument they interview writer and speaker SQuire Rushnell (yes, his name begins with two capital letters), author of When God Winks. Rushnell describes these coincidences as “Godwinks”, which he describes as “an event or personal experience, often identified as coincidence, so astonishing that it could only have come from divine origin.” You can watch Rushnell’s appearance on CBS Sunday Morning above, and pay a visit to his site at WhenGodWinks.com to learn more. One of the highlights of the report above is a story of what happened to Diane Lane days after her father passed away. It’s enough to give you goosebumps.
