The African island of Mauritius appeared on my bucket list radar about 5 years ago when someone showed me photos of the mindblowing locale. I couldn’t believe I had never heard of this place before, and I made a decision that someday I would eventually make the big trip. Mauritius is approximately 2,000 km off the southeast coast of Africa, and is 2,040 square kilometers in area (roughly half the size of Rhode Island). Now filmmaker Alexander Kodisch is bringing Mauritius, regarded by many as the most beautiful island in the Indian Ocean, into my dreams once again with his gorgeous new timelapse video made of more than 11,000 rendered photos. You can see more photos of Mauritius on Google.
