This morning I woke up feeling like I had a ton of bricks dropped on my chest. When I glanced outside I noticed the weather had turned from clear skies to cloudy and wet overnight, which explained exactly why I felt so miserable for no reason. I am more sensitive to rapid weather changes than the average person, and thankfully when I got to work I had discovered a rare treat that snapped me out of my malaise and put a smile right back on my face again. I had come across the brand new trailer for Amy Sedaris‘s upcoming movie, Ping Pong Summer, co-starring Susan Sarandon and Lea Thompson. The film tells the story of a 13-year-old boy in Ocean City, Maryland who finds his inner confidence in the summer of 1985 thanks to his newly discovered love of ping pong. Ping Pong Summer opens on June 6th.
