David Fincher’s highly anticipated thriller GONE GIRL just got its very first trailer earlier this evening. Starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, the film is based on Gillian Flynn’s bestselling 2012 novel of the same name. The story unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage, and the synopsis reads as follows: “On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior has everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?” (Source: IMDb). David Fincher’s GONE GIRL is set for release in October 2014.
