President Obama recently revealed that his favorite television show right now is Homeland starring Claire Danes. Obama revealed that he and the First Lady often binge-watch multiple episodes of the series at a time. The Showtime series premiered on October 2, 2011, and stars Claire Danes who plays Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer with bipolar disorder, and Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody, a United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper. Mathison has come to believe that Brody, who was held captive by al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war, was “turned” by the enemy and now threatens the United States.
The season finale of the show’s 3rd season aired on December 15, 2013, with the 4th season set to air in 2014.
