Noam Chomsky (born December 7, 1928) is the renowned American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, logician, political commentator and activist. Often described as the “father of modern linguistics”, and even voted as the world’s top public intellectual, Chomsky is also a major figure in analytic philosophy. He has spent most of his career at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he is currently Professor Emeritus, and has authored over 100 books. Chomsky will soon be found on the big screen in the highly anticipated new documentary from Michel Gondry entitled Is The Man Who Is Tall Happy?. Centred on a series of filmed conversations between Gondry and Chomsky, the documentary/conversation was brought to full living color with the hand-drawn animations of Gondry himself. The film’s newest trailer arrived moments ago, and gives you a wonderful sense of what to expect when the film hits select theatres soon on November 22nd.
