World renowned American cellist Yo-Yo Ma took some time out of his busy schedule this morning to sit down with Charlie Rose, Norah O’Donnell, and Gayle King to discuss his life, his thoughts on creativity, and his brand new album entitled The Silk Road Ensemble With Yo-Yo Ma: A Playlist Without Borders. Among the most interesting things I learned from the interview is the fact that when Yo-Yo was still a young child he performed for President Kennedy and President Eisenhower. The performance marked the beginning of what has become one of the most impressive careers in music history.
