Nestled on a hilltop in the city of Waldenburg in southern Germany is this jaw-dropping house designed by Philipp Architects. The design is anchored around a wooden core sheathed in elm wood, which contains the kitchen, staircase, and is capped with an attic space above the second floor. The house is wrapped with a glass curtain wall of glazed, frameless windows which look out towards the north and the stunning 80km+ view beyond. The design incorporates light grey natural stone, elm and oak wood, and smooth white plaster surfaces — all complimenting the purist program of the design.
