Breaking Bad is the groundbreaking television drama series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). White’s primary goal, when he begins manufacturing the methamphetamine, is to secure his family’s financial future before he dies.
Critics from across the board have hailed Breaking Bad as the greatest television series of all time. The series is currently halfway through its fifth and final season of 16 episodes, with the second set of eight premiering this coming August 11, 2013. The show’s final episode, entitled “Felina” is set to air on September 29, 2013.
Charlie Rose recently sat down with the show’s creator and producer, Vince Gilligan, along with stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Anna Gunn.
