Few photographers have captured the male form as beautifully as Bruce Weber. Born March 29, 1946, Weber’s career began in the 1970s with his work for GQ, reaching international stature with his stunning black and white images taken for Calvin Klein in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In his newest campaign, Weber brings his video camera to the beaches of the Sicilian island of Pantelleria with gooooooooorgeous athletic model Simon Nessman. The resulting short film is for Giorgio Armani’s brand new campaign for his freshly updated scent Acqua di Giò Essenza. NOWNESS writes: “Revisiting his classic Acqua di Giò fragrance from 1996, Armani sought to produce a new, more intense remix of the original scent inspired by the Mediterranean island that has since become his home, Pantelleria. The largest of Sicily’s satellites, the ‘Black Pearl of the Mediterranean’ bathes in the scorching heat of nearby Africa carried by the sirocco winds across its plains of dark basalt rock and simple white-domed dwellings, or ‘dammusi.'” You can watch the short film below and drool over Simon all you like (ooooohhhh, what I wouldn’t give to be that black speedo). Simon Nessman (born November 5, 1989) is a Canadian male model from Courtenay, British Columbia, who currently ranks as the #2 male supermodel in the world.
