Ridley Scott‘s latest film The Counselor is an intriguing departure from his typical fare. Dripping in a deliciously polished and gritty crime-soaked atmosphere, the film’s very first trailer arrived earlier this morning and it looks thoroughly brilliant. Although the trailer is in Russian we still get an eye-popping look at the film’s off-the-charts cast which includes Cameron Diaz, Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Dean Norris, Rosie Perez, John Leguizamo, Natalie Dormer and Goran Visnjic. The original screenplay was co-produced and written by none other than famed novelist and playwright Cormac McCarthy (No Country For Old Men, The Road), and tells the story of a lawyer, played by Fassbender, who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking. The Counselor is set for release in North America on October 25th.
UPDATE: THE ENGLISH VERSION OF THE TRAILER WAS RELEASED THIS AFTERNOON.
