Yesterday, Brooklyn-based duo VISUALS (Marshall Ryan and Andrew Fox) released their brand new video for “Levitation” with a tweet that read: “its @visualsmusic vs @jtimberlake on optometrist vibe: U DECIDE AMERICA.” At first glance, the concept for their terrific new video might appear as nothing more than an eyesight test-theme plain-and-simple (à la graphic style of Justin Timberlake’s new album ‘The 20/20 Experience’), but there’s more going on here than meets the eye. As NO FEAR OF POP discovered, “The eye test doesn’t just function as a cool music video angle. Fox possessed only ‘partial vision’ and had to be trained in how to see in all-encompassing 3D. So as you can imagine, everything about the band, its name and music video conceit, mean more with this story – he was in the position of the little girl quite a bit.” For all things VISUALS be sure to visit VISUALSmusic.com, and follow them on Twitter and Soundcloud.
