Director Terrence Malick (The Tree Of Life) just released the latest trailer for his upcoming film To The Wonder starring Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Olga Kurylenko, and Javier Bardem. The film’s synopsis reads: “After visiting Mont Saint-Michel in France, Marina and Neil (Kurylenko and Affleck) come to Oklahoma, where problems arise. Marina meets a priest (Bardem) and fellow exile, who is struggling with his vocation, while Neil renews his ties with a childhood friend, Jane (McAdams).” The new trailer reveals even more stunning shots than the original preview from December 2012, courtesy of Malick’s longtime cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki. The film is deeply atmospheric, and contains little or no dialogue from its characters. Audiences in North America will get their long-awaited look at To The Wonder when the film opens on April 12th. And as with all Malick posts here on FEELguide, I never miss an opportunity to get another glimpse of his masterful The Tree Of Life.
