The other weekend I went to see Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and for nearly three hours I was completely swept away into a remarkable world set 170 years in the past.  If you have not yet seen the film then you are missing out in a very big way.  This film is so captivating, and so much fun, I remember checking the time on my phone at one point with the hope that there was still another two hours left — and that was more than two hours into the film.  Apart from Zero Dark Thirty and ARGO, I can’t remember the last time I was this completely immersed from head-to-toe in a movie.  Christoph Waltz teams up once again with Tarantino, their most recent collaboration since Inglorious Basterds, and Waltz steals every single scene he’s in — and then some.  This guy is a force of nature as far as I’m concerned, and if he doesn’t win the Oscar for his performance then there’s something seriously wrong with the Academy Awards’ voting process.  Christoph recently sat down with Charlie Rose to talk about his work in Django Unchained, as well as his friendship with Quentin, and you can watch the interview in full in the link below.
