Written by his longtime collaborator and brother Jonathan Nolan (Memento, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises), Interstellar is rumoured to be the next passion project of Christopher Nolan. For a while now, Steven Spielberg was attached to the film, but recently relinquished his directorial reigns likely due to scheduling conflicts with his upcoming sci-fi epic Robopocalypse (he may still be involved in the film as a producer). With a plot centred on time travel and wormhole theory developed by Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech, the storyline of Interstellar is rumoured to be enormously complex, and as The Hollywood Reporter noted earlier today, the dealmaking has been underway for several months now.
