Earlier this morning FEELguide favorite Active Child released a beautiful cover of the classic 1905 gospel hymn “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” and gave the song a stunning update for 2013. On his Facebook page Active Child frontman Pat Grossi wrote: “I wanted to share something with you all on the dawn of this new year. Its not often enough that I share with you what is on my mind, or what is in my heart. or how much all of your love and support means to me. But tonight i want to share a small something. a token. A simple recording of a classic song, recorded over the holidays on my new piano : ). I hope you enjoy it. With love, Pat.” And last night I was listening to Ohio.fm radio on iTunes (under the Eclectic genre) and soon fell head over heels for the song “Breaking Up” by DECOMPOSURE off his latest album Eating Chicken. The song has an amazing Sufjan Stevens sound to it, and you can stream and download the entire album by CLICKING HERE. DECOMPOSURE is the moniker of 29-year-old musician Caleb Mueller based in Kitchener, Ontario. Nice job Caleb! And no Active Child post would be complete without letting you hear the amazingness that is “Diamond Heart” one more time.
