Critically acclaimed director Cary Fukunaga (born July 10, 1977) took home the directing award at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival for his debut feature Sin Nombre, which captured the attention of Hollywood and earned him the opportunity to direct Jane Eyre starring Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender in 2011. For his latest creation, Fukunaga set course for East Africa where he shot this gorgeous short film for fashion brand Maiyet. Entitled Sleepwalking In The Rift, the vignette follows a young woman (played by Haley Bennett) on a soul quest in the African wild where she meets a ranger guide (played by Swedish actor Fares Fares) who helps her understand the power and beauty of this magnificent part of the world.
