The team at DUMMY just posted this highly addictive new track from Brighton-based house and disco revivalist MAXXI SOUNDSYSTEM. Apart from being a brilliantly catchy slice of amazingness, the accompanying video offers an added dimension of bizarro to the track with its recut found footage from one or more films of which I will probably never be able to identify. But the true star here is MAXXI SOUNDSYSTEM and his phenomenal gift for triggering the inner dancing freak laying dormant inside those of us who spend waaaaaay too much time behind a computer: “Characterized by a wavy, frayed synth line that grows louder then quieter in the mix, soft shakers bring some wiggle whilst the breathy voice of Name One floats up above. It’s charming and sultry, slowly working its way under your skin at the same time as making you dance all under pinned by a monstrous, all consuming and grumbling bass line that makes your chest throb and head bob.” You can find out more about this guy’s music by reading the full story at DUMMY. And to enter the world of MAXXI SOUNDSYSTEM be sure to follow him on Facebook, Twitter, and Soundcloud.
