When I watched the Republican National Convention late last month I was pleasantly impressed by Mitt Romney‘s life journey and his family’s story. But most of all I was impressed by his experience in turning around the economy of Massachusetts during his time as Governor, lifting it out of deficit and up to a $2 billion surplus. “Wow, now this is someone who could turn America’s economy around,” I thought to myself. “Screw civil rights for a few years — just get that economy back in shape Mitt!” What I didn’t realize at the time was the massive intelligence deficit that exists inside this man’s brain.
Immediately following the Libyan and Cairo protests which resulted in the deaths of 4 Americans in the Libyan city of Benghazi, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Mitt Romney wasted no time in blasting Obama for a statement issued by the U.S. Embassy in Cairo which, in part, condemns “the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions.” The statement, an apparent reference to the anti-Islam movie trailer that has inflamed conservative Muslims in the Middle East , was posted hours before the Americans’ death in Libya was reported, and was never supposed to have been released in the first place — a direct order from Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton. Somehow, the statement got out and Romney jumped on it as if it came directly from President Obama‘s mouth as an apology to the enraged Muslims. Romney’s blundering of this moment alone is reason enough to be terrified of him ever becoming President himself.
But Romney’s talent for epic campaign misstepping shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In a brand new video which was released yesterday, Romney is shown inside the Florida home of a wealthy fundraiser where he was speaking with a crowd of wealthy donors. A hidden video camera shows Romney explaining to the bobble-headed crowd that 47% of America will vote for Obama no matter what, because they are helpless welfare cases. The brand new scandal is now freshly tossed on top of the ever-growing pile of horse shit that Romney will never be able to dig his way out of by November 6th.
Dear Mitt: you’re obviously someone in desperate need of good advice, so let me give you some: 1) Take your mouse and highlight the article headline above. 2) Press copy. 3) Go to your campaign website and paste the headline as the heading of your newest and final campaign update. 4) Write a heartfelt apology to the American people for being such an unintelligible moron. 5) Ride off into the sunset and stop embarrassing yourself and your family. You might be good with money, but a real President needs to do a billion things at the same time — not just one.
