I had the pleasure of seeing Chad Valley open for Active Child last year, and it was a thrill to see him perform live (especially “Now That I’m Real” which I had listened to at least a gazillion times by that point). His performance was bang on — despite the drunken fools of Montreal’s Casa del Popolo back room who wouldn’t shut the hell up. But I digress. Yesterday it was announced that Chad Valley will be releasing his very first full length album entitled Young Hunger on October 30th via Cascine. The very first track “Fall 4 U” is ready for your listening pleasure as of right now, and it features the always brilliant co-vocals of Glasser. What’s more, the album will feature an impressive list of guest stars including Twin Shadow, El Perro del Mar, Active Child, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and more. For all things Chad Valley be sure to follow him on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. And no Chad Valley post would be complete without another listen to the amazingness that is “Now That I’m Real”.
