I first fell in love with Frank Ocean a few days before Christmas last year when I discovered his phenomenal track “Novacane” (and its NSFW video which you can check out below). And Frank’s reputation as the future of hip-hop just got even more secure with the release of the teaser track “PYRAMIDS” off his upcoming debut album Channel Orange, out July 17th on Def Jam. The 10-minute track is so damn good I’m not even sure where to begin actually. Although I’m pretty sure I could have thought of something clever to say if I hadn’t had so much Johnnie Walker Black on Saturday night. Worth every drop though — I had a truly magical night with my friends and ended up on a rooftop at 5am with a billion dollar view of Montreal’s sunrise. If my dreams had their way, that rooftop would transform into PYRAMIDS, the best damn bar in the city where I would be working each and every weekend with Frank Ocean’s “PYRAMIDS” on repeat forever.
