Luxembourg-based artist SUN GLITTERS (a.k.a. Victor Ferreira) just released a gorgeous new remix of Chicago singer-songwriter VIOLETNESS‘ (a.k.a. Venessa Upson) beautiful track from November of last year entitled “The Coal”. DUMMY was the first to champion the new rework, writing: “Stripping away the vocal magic of the original until it becomes merely the most tantalising hint of a voice, SUN GLITTERS’ version of the tune resembles the sun-bleached remains of a song, with elements of a melody crackling under an electronically polished, statically charged surface.” The remix will be included on VIOLETNESS’ upcoming 12″ EP entitled Last Night In My Dreams, I Was Talking To You which is set for release in April via LebensStrasse Records.
