The definition of “surrealism” is the collision of two disparate elements which are normally separated in space and time; this collision thereby resulting in new potential realities and new discoveries. The art of mashing two songs together has the exact same effect, and when taken to the highest level of craft and sensibility it can create something that is nothing short of astonishing. I am not a huge fan of Adele’s music by any stretch of the imagination (although I do love her voice), but I am a massive DAFT PUNK punk. So when Tim Chester of NME recently published a remix of Adele’s “Set Fire To The Rain” with DAFT PUNK’s “Something About Us” which was created by Carlos Serrano I just about blew my top. There is no one with more respect for the art of the remix than yours truly, but this is on a whole other level. Absolutely incredible. You can download your own copy by clicking on the small grey arrow on the right hand side of the Soundcloud below, and to enter the world of Carlos Serrano be sure to follow him on Facebook and hear more of his music on Souncloud. And to get your daft punked you can head on over to DAFTPUNK.com. To see all FEELguide posts related to DAFT PUNK CLICK HERE.
I’m Not A Huge Adele Fan, But This DAFT PUNK Remix Could Be The Greatest Remix Of All Time
