I’ve been noticing over the past several months a mini explosion of papercraft artistry and craftsmanship making waves online. Just one of these outstanding examples would have to be Los Angeles-based artist Jeff Nishinaka (check out a recent Fubiz profile of Nishinaka by CLICKING HERE) whose white paper creations recently went viral (I would kill to own that flying dragon piece). Adding to this new crop of talent is London-based Spanish illustrator Javier (a.k.a. Lobulo Design). Yatzer recently paid Javier a visit and was given a sneak peek at his latest project, a papercraft illustration of Darth Vader commissioned by Göoo, a bi-annual magazine for visual arts and graphic expression. Entitled “Holy Darth Vader!” the final result is a thing of beauty and is worthy of a Star Wars-meets-Christianity series. Joseph Campbell would be proud.
