I am seriously flipping over this mindblowing home sitting atop Lake Lugano in Switzerland, with views overlooking the historic village of Brusino Arsizio (population 500). The master behind this beauty is Milan-based architect Jacopo Mascheroni of JM Architecture, and the client is a financial consultant who needed a home for herself and her family. The design is fueled by the double dynamic between the rounded glass pavilion and the reinforced concrete interior core which is anchored to the connected mountain it rests on. The interior totals a perfect 3,700 square-feet, and the more functional elements of the program, including the water closets and bedrooms have also been extremely well considered. I will definitely be ripping off pieces of this design if I ever get around to building my own dream home. Le sigh…
