For the past couple years now, Tokyo-based balloon artist, Rie Hosokai, has been gaining ever-increasing attention from her balloon art creations — most notably her incredible dress designs. Hosokai has won numerous balloon art competitions, and abandoned her career in floral design to devote herself 100% to her balloon creations. Her dresses have a life span of approximately 24 hours, and worth noting is the fact that in just two short years she already been commissioned to design and build 20 balloon wedding dresses. You can visit Rie’s website at RieHosokai.com, or email her at rie@daisyballoon.com. CBS News also did a recent featurette on Rie’s work, although I must warn you: whoever narrated the clip below should probably consider abandoning their career as well.
