The other day I was walking downtown here in Montreal and the sun was out full blast, and it was pretty damn gorgeous for March standards. It wasn’t exactly “take your coat off and run barefoot” kind of weather, but it was more like “take your coat off and sit it on your shoulders like a cape so your back doesn’t get too cold” kind of weather. Nonetheless, after the winter we just had here, a sunny day like that felt as good to me as an oasis would feel to a man lost in the desert for 6 months. I soaked up every last drop of sunshine all the while listening to Teen Daze’s “Beach Dreams” (my early summer anthem). If you’ve been stuck in the cold like me for what seems like eternity, this might help you realize that summer actually is right around the corner:
