The Creators Project Interviews Neon Indian About His Mexican Pop Star Dad, Atari, And The Sounds Of Super Mario Brothers

Neon Indian is a band from Denton, Texas headed by composer Alan Palomo who is also known for his work with Ghosthustler and VEGA. The band’s debut, Psychic Chasms, took a lot of people by storm and was even rated by Pitchfork as the 14th best album of 2009 (as well as being placed in their highly-regarded Best New Music rankings).  Rolling Stone has also been feeling the Neon Indian love, heralding them as one of the hottest new bands of 2010.  The Creators Project (my favorite new website which you have to check out HERE) is also a huge fan and they sat down with Alan to talk about his crazy hectic schedule, his creative collaboration with Miami Horror, his first love-at-first-sight moment with a synthesizer, and what he has in store for this year’s tour.
