I saw this video on the weekend for NOVA’s documentary Engineering An Icon which chronicles the reconstruction of the World Trade Center site. I got a little misty-eyed while watching it if I can be perfectly truthful. Beautifully done, and it also got me even more excited for what this new urban design is going to do for the downtown core of New York. It’s clearly going to become one of the most powerful and meaningful architectural and urban design statements in modern history.
