One of photography’s most powerful aspects is how any given viewer can have a completely different interpretation from the next about a particular series. In her latest collection, photographer Nicole Ann Robbins presents us with a revealing portrait of 3 young girls in Los Angeles. When I first looked at these my first assumption was that they were prostitutes coming or going to visit God only knows who. But who’s to judge? Maybe they’re 3 girls from the ‘burbs, fresh from a Halloween party that went a little too late. Or perhaps they’re escapees from American Apparel CEO and sex maniac, Dov Charney’s, whore somewhere in L.A.? You be the judge.
