Pitchfork just put the word out late last week about Canadian hyper-pop artist Cecil Frena and his band Born Gold (Frena was the spearhead of the Gobble Gobble project before it wrapped up). Born Gold will be releasing their debut LP, Bodysongs, on September 20th on their own label Hovercraft, and the first preview track that they’ve released is the phenomenal “Decimate Everything”. I’ve attached the song below, so take a listen yourself to the brilliance that is going on here. Truly impresssive. And by the way, the cover art for the LP was painted by none other than Megan James of like-minded avant-pop duo Purity Ring. I cannot wait to hear this album — just over a week to go!
